Facilities
The center occupies seven buildings:
- administrative;
- educational and therapeutic;
- medical;
- admission and inpatient care (4 buildings);
- catering.
There is a children’s playground with swings and sandpit for kids at the territory of the center, a football field, volleyball and basketball courts on the territory of the center.
There is the school, library and the department of physiotherapy in the educational and therapeutic building. There 5 classrooms. Classes start at 9.15am and ends at 2.35pm. Children are taught by the teachers of Glusk school. Both school books and fiction literature is available in the library.
The Department of Physiotherapy includes:
- the room for electro and light therapy;
- the room for heat therapy;
- two gyms for physical therapy;
- the room for mechanotherapy.
Physiotherapeutic procedures are prescribed according to indications.
The room for physiotherapy has the equipment for galvanization (POTOK-1), magnetic therapy (AMT-01), electrophoresis (Radius-01), ultrasound therapy (UZT1.01F), ultrahigh-frequency therapy (UVCH1.01F) and magnetic laser therapy (Vityaz, Rikta).
The room for heat therapy has two paraffin heaters enabling to carry out paraffin and ozocerit treatment.
Physical therapy in groups is on schedule. Children are grouped based on age and diseases.
An exercise physiologist supervises trainings in the gym. Children over 12 years of age are allowed attending such trainings provided that they have not contraindications. The gym has Kettler exercise equipment.
The Medical Building includes:
- massage rooms;
- room for balneotherapy;
- rooms for function tests (ECG, spirography);
- rooms for ultrasound examinations.
The equipment of massage rooms includes massage units and NugaBest individual massager for heat therapy.
The room for balneotherapy has:
- 5 baths for balneotherapy;
- 2 baths for underwater massage therapy;
- Charcot shower;
- 2 units for hydromassage.
There are the rooms for functions tests (ECG and spirography) and ultrasound examinations (using Medison ultrasound machine) in the center.
There is the staff room, the procedure room, two activity rooms (with furniture, TV set, DVD-player and board games) in the bedroom building. Each bedroom is for 3-4 children and has a toilet and shower.
Nurses are on duty on a 24/7 basis.
The inhalation room is located in the admission building. Inhalations are performed with the help of ultrasound nebulizers and halo nebulizers. There is also the room for aerophytotherapy in the admission building.
The laundry occupies a separate building.
A 120-seat dining room is located in a separate building too. Children eat 6 times a day. The menu is made based on children’s age (for preschool, school and high school children).
10 teachers work at the center. They arrange discussions, contests, quizzes, birthday parties, discos and etc. They also ask children to fill out questionnaires with a view to learning children’s interests and improving educational activities. Moreover, teachers cooperate with parents.
